This chapter concerns japanese vending-machine cards. Those -mostly magnetic-cards appeared first around 1986 and were most popular during the early 1990ties. But the time for this kind of payment cards is up.
They are replaced everywhere in the far-east by the contactless IC cards (SUICA etc). And the first one of these we put here with the number op-vm-49.

This vending machine card was most probably never used. It seems to be a kind of demonstration or test card. The phone-number at the back hints on the 1980s (Tokyo 7 digits). Possibly this card could be older than the OP-VM-1. The same goes for the OP-VM-45, the next card. By the way: its easier to google medieval events  than getting informations about japanese cards from 20 years ago!
